Resumen
Catalysts 3-10% in mass CoMo supported on pillared clays with aluminum, natural and acid treated at mass relations 0,10 and 0,20 were prepared. By XRD the pillared materials showed a retention of the lamellar structure of the starting clay and a shift of the (001) reflection to lower angles, which evidenced that the pillaring process was effective. On the other hand, the catalysts showed the MoO3 orthorhombic phase and the presence of CoO (or Co3O4) was not corroborated, although both phases were confirmed by XPS. By TEM it was seen that catalysts showed maintained porous structure phase produce by the pillaring process and dark zones signaled to the presence of the oxide phase of the metals. All catalysts were active for the HDS reactions of thiophene, observing that the most active one was the supported on the pillared clays treated with the severe acid treatment.
