Amazon in Transition: Promoting Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency.

The main objective of the project "Amazon in Transition: Promoting Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency" is to encourage the successful implementation of renewable energy technologies in the Ecuadorian Amazon region, promoting their adoption across various sectors (industrial, commercial/services, residential) and communities.

Through the installation of demonstration systems, the creation of an interpretation space, and the training of students and the community, the project seeks to increase awareness of the potential and benefits of renewable energies and energy efficiency, strengthen the education of future professionals in clean energy, and contribute to the sustainable development of the region by reducing dependence on fossil fuels and mitigating environmental impact.

1. Promote knowledge of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency in the Ecuadorian Amazon through the implementation of demonstration spaces with real use of technologies open to society.
2. Validate and optimize renewable energy technologies and interventions for energy efficiency in the Amazon.
3. Train future professionals in renewable energies and energy efficiency from the Ecuadorian Amazon with the capacity to design, install, and monitor systems.
4. Promote the implementation of renewable energies and/or energy efficiency in establishments (industrial, commercial/services, residential) in the Amazon through concrete studies of potential.
5. Strengthen strategic partnerships for the promotion, research, and implementation of renewable energies and interventions that encourage energy efficiency in the Ecuadorian Amazon.

OE.1 Foster knowledge of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies in the Ecuadorian Amazon by establishing demonstration sites—open to the public—that showcase the actual use of these technologies.
OE.2 Validate and optimize renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency interventions for the Amazon region.
OE.3 Train future professionals in the Ecuadorian Amazon in renewable energy and energy efficiency, equipping them with the skills to design, install, and monitor these systems.
OE.4 Promote the implementation of renewable energy and/or energy efficiency measures in industrial, commercial/service, and residential facilities in the Amazon through specific potential assessment studies.
OE.5 Strengthen strategic partnerships to promote, research, and implement renewable energy solutions and interventions that encourage energy efficiency in the Ecuadorian Amazon.
